Month to month satellite TV

Boom beach tips for beginners

Q: How can I manage my account? (Upgrade or change my programming)

A: DISH allows you to manage your account online. Just go to and create an account. The online management tool allows you to upgrade, downgrade, make payments, order PPV and restart your service. Or you may call 1-800-333-3474 to speak to a representative.

Q: Is it true there is no commitment and no activation, disconnect or restart fees?

A: Yes. There is no commitment required and no activation, disconnect or restart fees. When you are no longer using your service you can simply stop paying your monthly bill.

Q: When is the first payment due?

A: Payment for the first month’s programming is due at the time of activation.

Q: I’m only going to be on vacation for two weeks. Can I pay for a partial month of service?

A: No. All Pay-As-You-Go packages are billed in advance on a month-to-month basis in 30 day increments. Example: If you activate on the 15th of the month, your service will end on the 15th of the following month.

Q: Can I watch HD while my vehicle is in motion?

A: Yes. DISH’s satellite technology allows customers to watch HD programming while the vehicle is moving if equipped with a compatible auto-tracking portable antenna. DISH is the only affordable option for in-motion HD.

Q: I have three TVs in my RV. Can I hook all of them up?

A: Yes, customers can purchase up to three 211z receivers to activate in their RV. However, this requires an antenna that can support three receivers.

Q: Can I have a DVR?

A: Yes. You can add any USB 2.0 hard drive to turn your 211z into a DVR with a one-time set-up fee of $40. There are no additional monthly fees for this service.

Q: Can I get local networks?

A: Yes, local networks are available in your home market. Your home market is determined based on your service address. When traveling outside of your home market, you can use an over-the-air antenna to view local stations in that area. DISH’s receiver technology will even allow you to import local stations into your programming guide.

Q: Is installation included?

A: No. Sometimes customers are able to do the setup on their own. If you need someone to do an installation you will need to visit your local RV dealership.

Q: I already have DISH at home. How can I get it for my RV?

A: No problem! First purchase a DISH Mobile ViP 211 series HD Receiver and compatible antenna, then you can add your new receiver directly to your existing account for an additional $7 a month. To add a receiver onto your home account call DISH at 1-800-333-3474.

Q: What is the difference between DISH and DIRECTV?

A: DISH is offering a program specifically made for the RV market, including the Pay-As-You-Go programming and customized toll-free support. DISH can offer HD programming in motion; it is more difficult and expensive to do so with their competitors.

Q: Can I get international channels?

A: International channels are now only broadcasting on satellite 118w and are no longer on the eastern arc. As a result, there are no mobile antennas capable of picking up these channels.

A: If you have DISH at home and added pay-as-you-go to your bill, you must contact DISH at 1-800-333-3474 and let them know that you want to disconnect your pay-as-you-go services. If you only have Pay-As-You-Go programming, all you need to do is not pay your next invoice. This will automatically disconnect your services. However, if you have credit card auto pay on your account, you will need to contact DISH at 1-800-333-3474 to have this removed from your account before your services will be disconnected.

Q: How can I resume programming after disconnection?

A: Just contact DISH at 1-800-333-3474, provide them with your telephone number or your DISH account number. They will reinstate services and take a payment. You may also log onto your DISH account online ( and reinstate and make payment for your DISH service.

Q: When is my bill due?

A: Payment will be collected for the first month of programming during account creation. Subsequent payments are due 25 days after the date of activation. Payment must be received prior to this date or programming will be disconnected.

Q: I have the 211k receiver and want to purchase the 211z. Is it still compatible with my antenna?

A: The 211z is a smaller and lighter version of the ViP211k receiver. The 211z is compatible with the same antenna you used with the 211k receiver.
